Training and the regulations
Contrary to popular belief, the REIQ is not the regulatory authority for the Real Estate Industry.
In Queensland, the Real Estate Industry is regulated by the Property Agents and Motor Dealers' Act 2000, which is administered by the Office of Fair Trading, a division of the Department of Tourism, Fair Trading and Wine Industry Development.
Prior to applying for registration or a license, the applicant must have successfully completed the required training delivered by any training organisation that has been registered to do so under the Australian Quality Training Framework.
Property Training Qld is a Registered Training Organisation
Note: A Property Management employee is registered as a Salesperson under the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2000
